Anne-Sophie MUTTER and Mutter Virtuosi

Roy Thomson Hall
60 Simcoe St.
Toronto

“Violin goddess Anne-Sophie Mutter” (Washington Post) brings her acclaimed Mutter Virtuosi to Roy Thomson Hall for their Canadian debut!  The hand-picked ensemble, which has been touring since 2011, features stunning string players – all of them – developed as gifted soloists by the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation.

Famed for both her breathtaking virtuosity and her wide-ranging repertoire, Mutter joins her Virtuosi for two of chamber music’s most treasured works: Mendelssohn’s sparkling and animated Octet and Vivaldi’s ever fresh The Four Seasons. Concert opener is American composer Sebastian Currier’s Ringtones, commissioned especially for the Mutter Virtuosi.

Experience a refreshing vibrancy in a night of deeply satisfying musical masterworks.
