The October 30th concert marks the ensemble’s return to the George Weston Recital Hall, following up a sold-out performance in 1996.

Moscow Virtuosi, formed in 1979 by internationally renowned violinist Vladimir Spivakov, has become one of the world’s preeminent chamber ensembles. Hand-picked by Mr. Spivakov, each orchestra member is a top-ranking soloist drawn in many cases from the principal chairs of the great orchestras of Russia. Moscow Virtuosi was in demand from the moment of its inception and has appeared throughout the world, winning outstanding critical acclaim. Vladimir Spivakov and Moscow Virtuosi have recorded over 30 CDs on the BMG/RCA Victor Red Seal label and can be heard on the Capriccio label.
