This concert isn’t just a tribute — it’s a celebration of love, family, and the songs that have shaped generations. Relive the magic of Joe Dassin’s songs in a musical evening filled with emotion and cherished memories. A night to remember for all generations!
Joe Dassin was a legendary American-born French crooner, with innumerable hits beloved around the world, and gone too soon. Now, singer Julien Dassin is returning for a long-awaited tour in North America, with a tribute program, dedicated to his late father. As the son of the singer Joe, and the grandson of the filmmaker Jules, Julien is the third generation of the Dassin artistic dynasty.
After initially debuting as a comedic theatrical performer, Julien solidified his musical legacy by collecting, rearranging and performing his father’s musical hits across the world. In 2016, Julien’s new recording of “Champs Elysées” was included in Sony Music’s Tribute to Joe Dassin. Performing alongside a choir, he toured around France, including five sold-out nights at the famed Olympia in Paris.
Julien Dassin, the third generation of a prestigious artist in the family, continues his father’s legacy while adding his own personal touch. With an impressive career spanning international stages from the Olympia to Salle Pleyel and worldwide tours, he brings a fresh and emotional interpretation of Joe Dassin’s repertoire. Julien has put together an exceptional ensemble, the Paris Tour Eiffel Band, featuring some of France’s finest musicians. The show has seen enormous success in France and around Europe, and is now making its way to North America.
This nostalgic program gives audiences a chance to rediscover some of Joe Dassin’s iconic repertoire, including “Et Si Tu N’Existais Pas,” “Champs-Elysees,” “A Toi,” “Salut!,” and many others.
