One time only!  The two most intriguing, talked about Piano Winners of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition – the competition that has introduced so many legendary musicians to the world, and which this year attracted some 10 million online viewers – take the stage together in Toronto.

French pianist Lucas Debargue, who started lessons at 11 near Paris and was largely self-taught until well into his teens, performs with a highly individual style that earned him a sensational reception at the Tchaikovsky Competition and the only special prize given in any category by the Moscow Music Critics Association.  He is studing with Mdm Rena Sharashevskaya and resign in Paris.

Russian-Lithuanian pianist Lukas Geniušas, who tied for the silver medal (second prize) at the Tchaikovsky Competition, started his studies at 5 and was mentored by his grandmother, the great Russian music professor Vera Gornostaeva of the Moscow Conservatory.  He was also silver medalist at the 2010 and 2012 Chopin Competition.

Their program features solo performances and duo piano selections.
