Show One presents the much-anticipated return of the legendary Russian 30-piece chamber orchestra Moscow Virtuosi and its famed conductor and violin soloist, Vladimir Spivakov.
This performance will feature piano virtuoso Alexander Gindin – winner of the Cleveland International Piano Competition, and the youngest winner ever in the Tchaikovsky Competition tracing his musical lineage directly back to Franz Liszt.
Program will include Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 9, as well as Boccherini’s “Casa del Diabolo”, Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony Op.110, and Schnittke’s haunting Sonata for violin, chamber orchestra and harpsichord with Maestro Spivakov playing solo on violin.
Vladimir Spivakov is not only one of the greatest musicians of our time but also a great Humanitarian. Founder of The Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation – Maestro Spivakov helps gifted children to study music, buys instruments, provides Master Classes and opportunity to perform in International Festivals and Competitions. He runs an International Festival called “Moscow Meet Friends” where gifted children from all over the world come to Moscow to celebrate music, friendship, love and Humanity. Foundation also helps sick children and have saved lifes of many sick kids. The full lenght of DVD called “Because I Love” will be sold during the concert and all the proceeds will be donated to Maestro Spivakov Charity Flundation.
