Russia’s premier contemporary ballet company
will celebrate their 40th anniversary with the powerful, passionate and visceral production of Red Giselle.
Featuring Artistic Director & Choreographer Boris Eifman’s signature, visceral choreography, Red Giselle tells the story of famed ballerina Olga Spessivtseva and her tragic life torn between two philosophies, two epochs, two men… The work draws parallels to the classic ballet Giselle, but is also a springboard for larger themes of politics vs. art and public vs. private personas in the age of celebrity.
“Exuberant theatricality, boldly expressive movement and extraordinary dancing.” – Vogue
