“The Unknown Friend”
A play performed in Russian with piano numbers

Two beautiful women – a pianist and an actress – take over the stage to perform a unique synthesis of high literature by the first Russian writer to become a Nobel laureate, Ivan Bunin, and the brilliant music of Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Chopin and Rachmaninov, to present a story of love through the intimate letters of two people who never met but felt the entire range of human emotions related to sympathy, respect, passion and parting.

This performance marks the Canadian debut of the celebrated Russian-Italian actress Ksenia Rappoport. The musical numbers will be performed by acclaimed Russian pianist Polina Osetinskaya.
