Lighthouse Immersive presents The Immersive Nutcracker, A Winter Miracle.

For nearly 130 years, The Nutcracker has been synonymous with holiday enchantment for families around the world. Millions of eager children and their smiling parents have packed ballet houses everywhere to enjoy the story of a young girl who enters a world of magic where all the toys that a child could ever dream of come to life in a delicious fantasy. The renowned music of Tchaikovsky charms the ears, while exquisite dancing dazzles the eyes.

Welcome to The Immersive Nutcracker, A Winter Miracle, an interactive 30-minute immersive performance followed by magical activations in the lobby, accessible to all, as state-of-the-art technology places the audience right in the middle of the action. The experience begins with a starry sky, a breathtaking snowstorm, and a giant fir tree beyond all imagining, that falls to earth and reappears as the Christmas tree of every child’s dreams. In a wondrous household filled with toys, a starry-eyed young girl tries to take it all in and a magical nutcracker comes to life. Experience breathtaking Immersive projections, magical special effects, meet a life-size Nutcracker, magical photo ops, and more!

“I can’t imagine the holidays without The Nutcracker,” says producer Svetlana Dvoretsky. “Like so many people I have grown up with the tradition of enjoying the Nutcracker story – from the music to the ballet and films.  I am absolutely thrilled to offer a truly family-friendly and dynamic experience of this magical story that I hope will become a new tradition to bring families together.”

“This holiday season is going to be so important in Toronto,” adds producer Corey Ross. “Some families haven’t enjoyed the fullness of the holidays with each other in almost two years, and we wanted to offer something really special for the season.  The Nutcracker is the definitive magical holiday story, and I think the experience of being fully immersed in that magic is going to be incredibly special.”

Five fantasy-filled worlds await audiences in The Immersive Nutcracker, A Winter Miracle, carefully designed by Storywall Entertainment’s creative and the technical teams. World-renowned dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet, Denis Rodkin and Eleonora Sevenard perform exquisite choreography amid the brilliant animations.  And young Canadian talents Elizabeth Pivovar and Alexander Marinosyan make a dazzling debut as young Mary and her brother Fritz – all surrounding the audience in 360-degree, three-dimensional splendor.
