BALAKLAVA BLUES band and friends play live music under 40 foot projections in support of Ukraine.

First things first: 100% of proceeds go to SECOND FRONT to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Balaklava Blues will PERSONALLY DELIVER all donations and humanitarian aid on May 2 as they fly to Warsaw to begin their European tour.

This is the first live show of the Balaklava Blues in Toronto since the pandemic started. They are bringing new songs and new video content inspired by their experience of revolution and war. All this is projecting on a 40-foot wall in the city’s most exciting, Immersive ArtSpace.

Other bands joining us:

• Our friends ERIK LAAR (electronic Baltic folk hop) and ORI SHALVA (traditional Georgian polyphony).
• DJ BUNCHA will play a special VJ set of Ukrainian hits (i.e. your favourite music videos slammed up on those massive walls with a good sound system).
• Also ONUKA (indie folktronica) and MARYNA KRUT (bandura soul songstress) will join us with exclusive virtual sets from the invaded territories of Ukraine.
