Experience art like never before – lose yourself in 500,000 cubic feet of flawless projections animating Vincent van Gogh’s oeuvre. Wander through entrancing, moving images that highlight brush strokes, detail, and color – truly illuminating the mind of the genius.
IMMERSIVE VAN GOGH opens on February 15, 2021, within the rarely seen historic space Lighthouse ArtSpace at Germania Club located at 108 West Germania Place.
You will be immersed in Van Gogh’s works – from his sunny landscapes and night scenes to his portraits and still life paintings. The installation includes the Mangeurs de Pommes de Terre (The Potato Eaters, 1885), the Nuit étoilée (Starry Night, 1889), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers, 1888), and La Chambre à coucher (The Bedroom, 1889), and so much more.
Astonishing in scale and breathtakingly imaginative, you will experience Van Gogh’s art in a completely new and unforgettable way.
The exhibit is designed by creative director and Italian film producer Massimiliano Siccardi with original music by multimedia composer Luca Longobardi, who is renowned for bringing together classical and contemporary genres.
The exhibition is custom-designed to Chicago’s Germania Club – transforming the neoclassical into the magical with its 35-foot ceilings’ dramatic ballroom, large mezzanines, and detailed ornamentation.
Located in the heart of Chicago in the historical landmark – Germania Club Building, Lighthouse ArtSpace is a joint project of Lighthouse Immersive USA and Maestro Immersive Art Inc., who share a vision for space where immersive art can be showcased and experienced for years to come.
Designed in 1888 by the architectural firm Addison & Fielder, this elegant building graciously blends old-world ambiance and a warm modern interior. Adorning the entrance to the Grand Ballroom is the world’s largest and most elaborate non-religious stained glass portrait. Originally crafted in Heidelberg, Germany, this breathtaking masterpiece was first exhibited at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair.
