An acclaimed international show arrives in Quebec
The Argentine tango, a dance of passion and melancholy, makes the Quebec scenes vibrate with the highly anticipated arrival of the Tango After Dark show, conducted and choreographed by the famous dancer Germán Cornejo. Presented by Show One Productions and GFN Productions, this internationally acclaimed show will be presented on March 6 and 7, 2026 at the Ludger-Duvernay Hall of the Monument-National in Montreal.

Germán Cornejo: one of the great ambassadors of contemporary tango
A major figure in modern tango, Germán Cornejo is considered one of the most influential dancers of his generation. World champion of tango and sought-after choreographer, he has established himself on the international stage with his unique style, which combines the tradition of the porteño tango with a resolutely contemporary choreographic writing. Described by the British press as the “King of Tango”, Cornejo has led many international tours and signed several major productions for stage and television. His work has seduced personalities from the artistic world, including Simon Cowell, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Mel B.
On stage, he forms a remarkable duo with Argentine dancer Noelia Pizzo, the main partner of his company since 2016. Trained at the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance Aida V. Mastrazzi, and scholarship holder of the prestigious Julio Bocca–Ricky Pashkus Foundation, Noelia Pizzo has an impressive international career. In particular, she represented Argentina at major international cultural events such as Paris Fashion Week at the Grand Palais, Expo Milano and the FITUR tourist fair in Madrid.
Astor Piazzolla: the musical soul of the show
At the heart of Tango After Dark is the work of Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla, a revolutionary figure in modern tango. In the 1960s and 1970s, Piazzolla profoundly transformed this musical genre by integrating influences from jazz, classical music and contemporary forms.
